Jealous…
This is a word that gets off far too lightly, in our estimation, in people’s minds. According to its definition, it means apprehensive, suspicious of being outdone by a rival in the matters of affection or favour, distrustful. Ha! Apprehensive is tepid for the way you feel toward the menace who cuts in on your guy. Suspicious! And with reason, say you. Apprehensive is a better word for your loyal friends like us who fear for your mastery of the situation. For jealousy is the greatest of all the emotional hazards.
